He is writing about wine on his Blog CellarTV, in Social Media and for several publications.
Furthermore, he holds a MBA degree from the University of Applied Sciences in Kempten and
a MA (Diploma) in Educational Science of the University of Munich.
As part of his MBA studies he spent 6 months at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane
and 9 months at the University of California in San Diego to conclude his Master Thesis while concentrating
on research on the wine market in a close relationship with Californian and Australian top wine producers.
Travelling and regularly visiting the wine regions, he´s focusing his interest and expertise on France (Bordeaux and Burgundy),
Spain, Germany and the New World (California and Australia).
Wine tasting takes time.
Unlike big commercial tasting panels, where hundreds of wines are tasted side by side over a short period of time,
we take our time and focus on just one wine in each case.
We taste, sample and re-taste over and over and discuss our findings to capture not only some details or maybe the
most characteristic aspects of a specific wine, but to get a representative overall picture.
To us describing wine is more than just summing up the different flavors.
Even though we try to be as precise as possible, when we explain the different aromas and flavors of a wine,
we also – more importantly – try to give you an impression about the quality, the strength and weaknesses of
the wine with due respect for the winemaker.
Thereby, we critically reflect aspects, like structure, balance and complexity etc.,
to give you an impression about how we liked the wine.
Additionally, we want to give you some background information about the winery, vintage or whatever we consider
to be interesting about a specific wine, while at the same time we try to keep the tasting note as brief as possible.
All of the regular action happens in our Blog and in Social Media with Facebook, Instagram & Twitter.
Feel free to visit and to share your passion with us as well.
